Global Innovations in Horticulture Seminar

AUSVEG in conjunction with Hort Innovation is holding a seminar to discuss global innovations in horticulture to demonstrate the very latest in innovative technology from around the world.

With a focus on new innovations in horticulture from world renowned experts in the field, the seminar will showcase a variety of ideas that are at the leading edge of agricultural innovation. Growers will also get an insight into technologies that will allow them to become more efficient, more productive and ultimately more profitable.

2016 National Horticulture Convention

The 2016 National Horticulture Convention, has fast become the premier event in Australian horticulture. After years of continual growth and success, the National Horticulture convention is now one of the largest events in the industry thanks to all of you.

The collaboration between AUSVEG, Apple and Pear Australia Ltd (APAL), Growcom, Persimmons Australia and the Central Markets Association of Australia (CMAA) in partnership with Fresh Markets Australia (FMA) has seen some of the largest horticultural entities join forces to create this landmark event.

National Banana Roadshow – Carnavon

The National Banana Roadshow will be held across June and July showcasing the latest research to Banana growers. Following on from past successes, the 2016 Banana Roadshow will cover such issues as biosecurity, disease research, farm production, environmental practices and supply chain management.

Of particular prominence will be Panama Disease tropical race 4 and using zoning to protect farms, disinfectants for the disease and early disease detection and treatment. Crown end rot of banana and learning’s from the first year will be outlined, as will the three year strategic marketing plan for Australian Bananas.
