On behalf of levy paying horticulture industries, Hort Innovation invests levy dollars and Australian Government contributions into research and development (R&D) projects to improve growers’ productivity and profitability and ensure the long-term sustainability of the industry.
For further information on industry levy, please visit the Australian Government Department of Agriculture and Water Resources.
To provide advice to help ensure R&D investment decisions are balanced and prioritised by the current needs of each horticulture levy industry, Hort Innovation has established Strategic Investment Advisory Panels (SIAPs) for levy paying industries.
A pistachio industry SIAP has been formed and details of the panel are available on this page. As part of the SIAPs’ activity, it will discuss the process for developing the pistachio industry Strategic Investment Plan (SIP). The SIP underpins all R&D investments made by Hort Innovation.
