Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Assessing global automation technologies for labour efficiency in citrus (AS26001).

The objectives of the investment are to:

  • Identify and assess global automation and mechanisation technologies that can reduce labour requirements in citrus, while also considering opportunities relevant to apples, pears, avocados, summerfruit, mangoes and table grapes.
  • Undertake a targeted international study tour to leading countries, technology providers and commercial horticultural operations to evaluate commercially deployed automation and mechanisation solutions and capture insights into their application and adoption.
  • Evaluate the suitability of identified technologies for Australian production systems and develop pathways for local demonstration, validation and industry adoption.

Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
