National Bee Pest Surveillance Program (PH25001)
This project supports the continuation of the National Bee Pest Surveillance Program (NBPSP), a coordinated, risk-based initiative to detect exotic and regionally significant bee pests.
Ongoing project
One Basin CRC PhD – Mitigating leafing failure in almond through varietal management (AL24003)
Delivery Partner: One Basin CRC, Charles Sturt University
This investment is supporting a PhD candidate within the One basin CRC PhD program. The candidate’s research focus is to determine the physiological response of almond varieties to different orchard management practices, and to find out if varietal specific management can reduce the risk of the expression of leafing failure.
The PhD candidate will be based at the One Basin CRC hub in Griffith and work collaboratively with almond growers to establish best management practices in the management of individual almond varieties, which in turn will encourage sustainable farming systems and contribute to a healthy, resilient and sustainable river system and communities.
This project is a strategic levy investment in the Hort Innovation Almond Fund
