What is it all about?

This project is developing the Australian Avocado Export Strategy 2027–2031 to support future export development and investment across the industry.  

It will combine industry and market analysis, economic modelling and consultation with growers, exporters, government agencies, international customers and other stakeholders to identify realistic export targets and priorities for the next five years.

Key outputs include an industry and market situation analysis, a stakeholder consultation and insights report, a priority market assessment framework, an Australian avocado export value proposition, five-year export targets and KPI framework, a market access and export readiness roadmap, and a final export strategy supported by implementation and monitoring frameworks.  

The strategy will provide a practical roadmap for future export development by identifying priority markets, market access needs and actions to improve export readiness. By helping guide future industry investment and export activities, the project aims to support sustainable export growth, improved profitability and greater long-term resilience for Australian avocado growers.
