This investment began in 2017 and concluded early during 2019. It was designed to support the development and engagement of a community of industry leaders – the Horticulture Alumni – brought together by a common desire to lift the bar for Australia’s horticulture sector.
Across its two-year run, the investment facilitated opportunities for the alumni to come together to network, collaborate and learn, with a particular focus on leadership development. Alumni events held included those in conjunction with the Hort Connections horticulture conference in 2018 and 2019, and an event held in Canberra in October 2018.
Though the Horticulture Alumni is no longer being continued through this formal Hort Frontiers mechanism, Hort Innovation will be looking to continue other activities that support the connectivity and development of industry leaders.
