Horticulture trade data 2026–2028 (MT25011)
This project is providing the Australian horticulture sector with high‑quality global trade intelligence.
Ongoing project
Generation of data – berry residue trials (MT25007)
Delivery Partner: Living Farm Pty Ltd
This project will generate the pesticide residue data needed to renew minor use permits for key berry crops, ensuring growers retain access to essential crop protection products.
Residue trials will be conducted in blueberries, Rubus crops and strawberries to meet Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) requirements for permit renewal. All studies will be delivered under Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) conditions and completed within 18 months to align with permit expiry timelines. Study plans have been reviewed and approved by the APVMA.
Without renewed permits, growers risk losing access to important pesticides used to manage pests, weeds and diseases, which could impact yield, quality and profitability.
This project is a strategic levy investment in the Hort Innovation Blueberry, Raspberry and Blackberry, and Strawberry Funds
