Finding opportunities to strengthen innovation in the Australian vegetable industry (VG23000)

This project worked with key stakeholders to identify opportunities to enhance innovation in the Australian vegetable industry by evaluating strengths and weaknesses of the innovation system and examining how current functions and structures enable or hinder effective innovation. Through a process of co-design, these findings were used to make recommendations to enhance innovation and create a more competitive and sustainable sector.
Research consisted of an online survey, interviews, focus and co-design group meetings, and document analysis. From this research, the project team delivered a report detailing the current innovation system’s structure and function, identifying improvement opportunities.
