BiosecurityTrakka - near real time diagnosis and monitoring for plant biosecurity threats (VG24015)

This project is developing BiosecurityTrakka, a national platform to enable near real‑time diagnosis, monitoring, and information sharing for plant biosecurity threats across Australia.
BiosecurityTrakka will provide a secure, shared digital environment where biological sequence data can be uploaded, analysed, and visualised, supporting faster and more informed decision‑making during pest and disease incursions. The platform is designed to cut through jurisdictional barriers by enabling rapid data sharing between Australian governments and biosecurity agencies.
The project aims to strengthen Australia’s biosecurity system by improving early detection, diagnostic capability, and coordination across jurisdictions, helping protect horticulture industries, support market access, and reduce the impacts of exotic and emerging plant pests and diseases.
This project is a strategic levy investment in the Hort Innovation Vegetable Fund
