Publication date: September 30, 2025
Delivery Partner: Melons Australia
This investment developed leadership capability across the melon industry, with nine participants completing advanced leadership and governance programs including the Moshie Lean Leaders Course, Australian Rural Leadership Foundation TRAIL program, Australian Institute of Company Directors courses, and the Marcus Oldham Leadership Program. Participants reported improved leadership skills, stronger governance understanding, and greater confidence to contribute to industry leadership.
The project promoted leadership and professional development opportunities across the melon industry through industry communications, social media, direct outreach and presentations at the 2025 Australian Melon Conference. Graduates were encouraged to share their experiences and contribute to industry discussions, including conference panels and community engagement activities. Four program graduates attended the conference, and two were involved as speakers, helping highlight the value of leadership development and industry collaboration.
