Protecting our groves: the olive industry biosecurity project (OL23001)

This project is maintaining and building a strong biosecurity system for the olive industry by improving preparedness at both an industry and grove level and building capability to respond to exotic pests.

Generation of data for pesticide permit applications in horticulture 2022 (ST22001, ST22003 and ST22004)

These multi-industry projects are generating the data needed to support a range of existing minor use permits across various horticulture crops to ensure growers have continued access to safe and effective chemicals for managing pests, weeds, and diseases.

An integrated pest and disease management extension program for the olive industry (OL17001)

With a focus on black scale, olive lace bug and anthracnose, this program gave olive growers access to up-to-date, practical information and instruction for implementing integrated pest and disease management (IPDM) strategies.

Adaptive area-wide management of Queensland fruit fly using the sterile insect technique: Guidelines for efficient and effective pest suppression and stakeholder adoption (ST15014 and ST15015)

This grant-funded project investigated, trialled and finalised guidelines and resources for the area-wide management of Queensland fruit fly.

Olive data generation investments (ST16000, ST17000 and MT17012) (Olive data generation investments)

These investments were responsible for generating pesticide residue and crop safety data to support minor use permit applications and renewals.
