Dried grape industry development project stage 2 (DG13001)
What was it all about?
This investment helped dried grape producers access and share leading and emerging research and knowledge on production techniques, to help grow skills, improve productivity and keep quality high.
Between 2014 and 2017 it delivered events such as workshops, field walks and focus groups for growers, as well as training sessions, plus learning materials will delivered through the Dried Fruits Australia online learning platform.
In total, the project team delivered 27 field walks and seven industry-wide forums, trained some 30 businesses in the Dried Grape Approved Supplier Program, and conducted hundreds of farm visits and responses to grower enquiries.
It also delivered fact sheets that are available here, while videos from some of the events are available on the Dried Fruits Australia YouTube channel.
The project also helped growers access the three-part Dried Grape Best Practice Guide, produced under the project Producing high value dried grapes stage 2 (DG13006), completed in early 2017.
This project was a strategic levy investment in the Hort Innovation Dried Grape Fund
