New product development information for the vegetable industry (VG14031)

What was it all about?

This investment developed a number of best practice resources around the development of new and value-added products, for Australian vegetable businesses considering opportunities in these areas.

Its work included the development of the Vegetable Innovation online portal at www.veginnovations.com.au, which hosts all of the project’s resources. These include:

• A how-to guide for developing value-added products (which was updated by a subsequent levy investment in the Hort Innovation Vegetable Fund)
  
  
• A get-help guide – essentially a database of Australian companies that specialize in aspects of new food development and related areas
  
  
• Videos from workshops and seminars related to the project and subsequent investments related to value adding and product development.
