Hort Innovation has opened applications for two upcoming Director vacancies on the company’s Board, with the search process open until Monday, August 5, 2024.
If you are interested in applying, please refer to the Director Applicant Information Pack here and submit your application to Rimfire Resources online at www.rimfireresources.com.au.
Here’s what you need to know...
Why are we seeking applications?
The Hort Innovation Constitution calls for two of its nine sitting Directors to retire from office at the company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) in 2024.
Both positions will be filled by candidates of choice, voted in by members at the Hort Innovation Annual General Meeting in November. Retiring Directors are eligible to reapply for nomination/appointment.
How are we recruiting?
Hort Innovation has engaged Rimfire Resources, an agribusiness search and recruitment company, to assist in sourcing candidates and managing the selection process. Advertisements have gone out in national print and online publications, and a targeted search process is also underway.
What happens next?
When the application period closes, applications will be provided to the Hort Innovation Director Nomination Committee. The four-person Committee is made up of a representative from the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry; a levy payer representative; an independent eminent member; and the Chair of the Hort Innovation Board.
The Director Nomination Committee will meet to determine a shortlist of candidates from the application pool, for interviewing during August 2024.
The final Director candidates will be announced ahead of the November AGM.
