What was it all about?

This project funded the position of a Business and Industry Development Manager for the Australian turf industry from 2013 to 2017, in accordance with the Turf Industry R&D Strategic Investment Plan 2012-2017. Richard Stephens was appointed at Turf Australia to support the development of the turf industry over this time.

Specifically, the objectives of the project were to…

• Facilitate collaboration and engagement with and between key industry bodies
• Facilitate technology adoption and communication programs for growers and other industry stakeholders
• Deliver training programs and workshops to increase industry understanding and skills.

These activities resulted in increased productivity and production sector profitability through improved business practices and increased awareness of relevant production, R&D, business management and marketing information.
