By investing in data generation activities, Hort Innovation helps address gaps where solutions may not currently be available for horticultural industries, supports integrated pest management approaches, and helps industries respond to emerging pest and disease challenges.  

The 2025/26 retail quality and education programs for Australian summerfruit and cherries demonstrated the value of ongoing retailer training, in-store quality monitoring and best-practice handling education.

This project developed a soil DNA test and improved management strategies to help onion growers better assess and manage the risk of onion white rot.
