What is it all about?
This investment supports leadership development within the citrus industry by providing fully funded places each year in the Marcus Oldham Rural Leadership Program. Open to individuals across the Australian citrus industry supply chain, including those from citrus levy-paying businesses, the program helps build the next generation of industry leaders by strengthening participants' leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
Delivered through an intensive five-day residential workshop, the program brings together participants from a range of agricultural and agribusiness sectors from across Australia. Through practical activities, expert facilitation and peer learning, participants gain the confidence and capability to take on leadership roles within their businesses, industry and communities.
The program focuses on real-world leadership challenges and provides participants with practical tools they can immediately apply in their workplaces. It also fosters valuable professional networks, connecting emerging leaders with peers facing similar challenges across the agriculture sector. By investing in leadership capability, the project helps ensure the citrus industry is represented by skilled and engaged leaders who can contribute to its long-term success and sustainability.
