What is it all about?
The generation of pesticide residue, efficacy and crop safety data is required to support label registration and minor use permit applications made to the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) which, when approved, provide access to safe and effective chemicals for the management of pests, weeds and diseases.
Supported by grant funding through the Australian Government’s Access to Industry Priority Uses of AgVet Chemicals program, this project will support new label uses for:
- Bayer’s Spiromesifen (Oberon 240 SC) for the control of various mite species in cherries, custard apple, mango and pineapples.
- Bayer’s Velum for the control of nematodes in strawberries
- Bayer’s DC-177 for the control of banana scab moth in bananas.
- Syngenta’s SYNFOI21, including for the control of thrips in custard apple, avocado, lychee, mango, cherries and celery.
- Syngenta’s Miravis Prime for the control of botrytis in cherries.
